The entire scoping training program is available to you at a reduced cost
when you purchase it at one time or by making two payments over two months.  

It will include the following:

  •         $100 Steno/Deposition practice work
  •         Lillian Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters (LMEG) @ $70
            ** You will purchase this on your own
             Some legal terminology is included in this book.

  •         $370 Punctuation and Grammar for Scoping (The LMEG is required to be   
            purchased and thoroughly studied before entering this part of the program.)
             Punctuation is the majority of our job.

  •         $100  Sound alike words with punctuation
  •         $150  Formatting legal documents/Scoping & Court Reporting Terminology

            Medical and legal terminology is not being directly included at this time but
            we would recommend that you purchase one of Stedman’s Medical
            Dictionaries and Black’s Law Dictionary at some point in the beginning of
            your career.  

  •        $50 Computer knowledge and file transfer information
  •        $50 Marketing yourself to court reporters
  •        $100 Training for CAT  programs
  •        $50  50 pages of your first job being proofed by us.

     This total comes up to $1360

If you want the entire package, you may purchase it for $1100, saving you $260.
If you decide to scope for voice writers, you will not need to learn the steno
language.  Voice writers speak into a mask for that aspect of recording their
transcript.
