| Entire SMA Training Program Package The entire scoping training program is available to you at a reduced cost when you purchase it at one time or by making two payments over two months. If you want the entire package, you may purchase it for $1,935, saving you $215. If you decide to scope for voice writers, you will not need to learn the steno language. Voice writers speak into a mask for that aspect of recording their transcript. **Upon passing the final scoping exam, SMA will be available to you for support on an as-needed basis via email or phone. Payment plans include a $150 administration fee or $200 administration fee for the 12-month payment. |
| CR Scoping "Refresher" Course (For former court reporting students and CR graduates.) This course will refresh the steno language with you, as needed, along with getting you very comfortable with all of the aspects of scoping. The Scoping Intern Program is included in this package. This will include everything on the SMA Courses page except for the stenographic language. Payment plans include a $150 administration fee or $200 administration fee for the 12-month payment. |

| Medical Transcription or Senior Citizen Training Scoping Training Package This is a special package only for medical transcriptionists that have at least two years of work experience. The Scoping Intern Program (SIP) is included in this package. In the scoping field, SMA feels that MT's warrant a reduced cost from this program because of the experience they have received in the field of medical transcription to begin with. This is because MT's have had experience in providing transcription and already know a great deal about how to punctuate the spoken word. This will include everything on the SMA Courses page. Payment plans include a $150 administration fee or $200 administration fee for the 12-month payment. |
| Cash Payments Send an email for the cash payment form and SMA will send that to you. Exit Exam & Certificate An exit exam will be given to SMA graduates so that both the scopist and court reporters will know that SMA scopists are prepared to tackle the work at hand. Upon graduation, each graduate will receive a Certificate of Completion from SMA. |
| **Eight-Month and a NEW 12-Month Payment Plan Because it takes a little while for most people to practice and acquire the contextual reading skill and punctuation skills in order to be a qualified scopist, SMA is providing an eight-month payment plan option and a new 12-month payment plan. If you miss a payment, you will stop receiving material. It's that simple. There is a basic payment agreement form the student is required fill out in order to utilize this eight-month payment plan.
