Be sure to schedule your computer to backup your
computer files on a daily basis.  I personally use a Seagate
External Hard drive.  Since I'm usually eating breakfast and
away from my computer at 7 a.m., I have scheduled my
computer to back up all of my files at that time.
It is something you can "schedule" so you do not have to
worry about remembering to do it.

Weekly Tasks to Schedule
Clear your web browser cache or history
(You'll probably want to do the following tasks when you go to bed
because they will likely take a few hours to complete.)
Run the disc cleanup
Run the disc defrag

Happy Valentine's Month
Joyful Opportunities will be starting classes the third week of February.
They will be for people who are wanting to create their own work product or
service and how to make that happen.

Joyful Scoping Leads' Team is delighted to say we've just received a large contract
of scoping on Eclipse for our team.  This is the beginning of a large project that will
hopefully continue into ongoing work.
The SIP classes started this week and are going well.  New enrollments into the SIP
can always join in after viewing the recordings.

Jennifer Jenkins and Sharon Meyers are doing a great job in teaching the SMA
classes while Devon continues to put together the training materials for the Joyful
Opportunities.
SMA will also be having a booth in Mason City, IA for the WOW Expo for
Women.

Don't forget the Open Scoping Chat which will be held in February
.  It's completely
FREE.  Check the yellow box below to save the link.

Blessings,
Devon
Scoping & Computer Tips
Little tip:
When you do your proofreading of emails and
transcripts, be sure to read the material aloud to
catch the most proofreading errors.

I highly recommend Devon Roberts/Joyful Scoping for scoping or to even help you find a scopist that meets your needs.  I have been
using Devon for the last 4 years or so to scope work and she does a superb job!  She is very efficient and produces a very clean
transcript in a timely fashion!  She does excellent work and is a pleasure to do work with!  Also, she has been very helpful in setting
me up with other reporters to scope work when she is too busy or unavailable.

Sincerely,
Cindy O.

Scoping Made Affordable (SMA) will be setting up some open chat
discussions for all scopists in its WizIQ Classroom.

These will be free of charge for scopists (both old and new) to
come together as your schedule allows.
The first one, Editing Tips, will be
Wednesday, February 8th
at 7 p.m. CST,

Here is the link for the first discussion:

Please follow this
link to register for the discussion so we have
some idea of how many scopists to expect.

Some of the chat discussions will be separate for the Eclipse users
and for the Case CATalyst users.

We will have more discussions as we work together to increase our
speed and efficiency for our scoping work.
