                                Funny Court Dialogue

I was proofreading a scopist's work and came across this mistranslate
that I thought was humorous.
The situation translated as: I am the Coach Air of that committee.
It should have been:  I am the co-chair of that committee.

ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his
sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?
*********************************************************
ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken?
WITNESS: Are you serious?
*********************************************************
ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample?
WITNESS: Huh....are you qualified to ask that question?

Wow, the school year is beginning again.  Where did the summer go!!  Although,
personally, I can easily live
without the humidity that planted itself upon the state of
Iowa the last two weeks, we have finally experienced relief!!  And thankfully, I live
north of the flooded area.

The WiZiQ classes for SMA will be starting next week.
This is my son's senior year (high school) and I needed to check his schedule
first
before planning classes. ;)  As he's not a lover of reading, he's anxious but energized
to get this year over with. ;)  But he has turned into a man after God's own heart.

I received an email from one of the newer graduates yesterday excited about
receiving work for a court reporter.  As is common with SMA, when a graduate
would like for me to proofread behind them, I make myself available for them.
Who would ever want to walk out into the scoping field alone??

The two surveys are in their final stages of tweaking and hope to be
available shortly.  One will be for court reporters while the other will be for
scopists.  The surveys will be available through September of 2010.

Blessings,
Devon

Little tips:
Make sure you have an email
signature on all of your email
communications.  It encourages
others to check your business out.
************************
Take an extra moment to read your
emails before you send them.
Finding one error can
make or break a possible business
prospect.  Taking that extra moment
to slow down may significantly
increase your business.
Or find a proofreading partner since
it's physically impossible to
proofread our own work!!

A Prayer for Those Involved in Court Cases

Many Christians are acquainted with the anxiety that can come
from being involved in a court case. Sometimes, even full-
blown desperation will try to take over the situation. But it’s up
to you whether or not you vie in to these emotions. In order to
come out victoriously, you must refuse anxiety and fear.

If you are in the middle of a court case, God cares. He wants
you to have faith in Him for direction through every situation
related to the legal battle.

As you face a legal battle, you must choose to walk in God’s
righteousness, His integrity, His love and His Word. And
through the challenge, stand on, pray and confess the truth of
God’s Word as reflected in the following prayer:

Father, I ask You to help me as I face this legal battle. I thank
You for being a very present help in time of trouble. I open my
heart to the Holy Spirit to reveal any of my own disobedience
in this matter so that I may repent and receive Your
forgiveness. Deliver me from hate and revenge.

In the Name of Jesus, I ask You to cause truth to prevail. I
pray that You will protect me from lying tongues and deceitful
lips. I believe and declare that no weapon formed against me
will prosper, and any tongue unjustly rising against me will be
shown to be wrong. I will dwell in Your secret place, which
hides me from the strife of tongues. I pray that you will stop
false witnesses that speak against me and cause them to be
caught in their own trap. Help me as I reply in defense. Let
Your Spirit give me the words to say when I need them.

By an act of my will, I refuse to fear, and I cast down any
imagination that tries to exalt itself above the knowledge of
You and Your love.

In the Name of Jesus, I now cast the care of this court case
upon You. I resist anxiety, and I receive calmness and peace. I
believe that Your favor and the favor of man  will surround me
like a shield.

Your Word says You will perfect that which concerns me, so I
make a conscious decision to receive Your perfected end. I
give You all the glory for all that will be accomplished, and I
will testify of Your goodness. Amen.
