How the Joyful Scoping Leads' Program Works

Joyful Scoping Leads has just received a large contract of scoping
work in Eclipse. This is a real-time editing project which requires no
audio while scoping. Because the court reporter is a Certified
Real-time Reporter, their writing skills will be outstanding.
In my opinion, this is one of the best scoping work opportunities in
our field.

We are in great need of additional Case CATalyst and Eclipse scopists who have
experience!! All of the JS Leads' Case CATalyst and Eclipse scopists are too busy to
take on more work.
Based on the continued number of scopist inquiries, there is still a definite need for more
qualified scopists and proofreaders to fill the needs of court reporters. Joyful Scoping Leads
requires each participant to go through the transcript editing analysis which is explained on
the"test"page. The analysis includes having the individual scope a transcript in their CAT
program with audio. Here is the link for the "test" page: TEST. We are only charging a fee
for the subscription, not for the test.
Joyful Scoping Leads (formerly known as just "Joyful Leads) was originally created because of
the number of scoping inquiries I had and could not keep up with. That skill level is being taught
through Scoping Made Affordable by including the only Scoping Intern Program (SIP) available.
Scoping Made Affordable (SMA) is the only scoping training course that teaches and tests for
the skill of contextual reading. Even adults can be challenged with this skill that takes quite a bit
of practice to establish. Feel free to visit the "brain" page of this website which explains that
aspect directly. There is more to contextual reading than others want to believe. SMA has
discovered the key and the busy graduates are demonstrating that.
We have scopists on Case CATalyst, Eclipse and TurboCAT.

How does this work for single jobs?
A court reporter contacts Joyful Leads (JL) and is in need of a scopist. The information the
court reporter provides JL is then sent to all JL subscribers. If you feel that you fit the
reporter's specific needs, you contact them personally and go from there if the court reporter
decides to use your services.
If Joyful Leads is contacted by a reporter in a crunch situation, JL will assess the situation,
make direct contact with the scopists to create a team that is on that CAT program and
check their availability. If you choose to join that specific project, the court reporter works
with you and pays you directly.
The focus of these teams is about what the court reporter wants and not how the
scopists want to do their work.

who are pretested regarding their scoping skills. There are no percentage fees removed from the
scopist when the scopist is paid.

I highly recommend Devon Roberts/Joyful Scoping for scoping or to even help you find a scopist that meets your needs. I have been using Devon for the last 4 years or so to scope work and she does a superb job! She is very efficient and produces a very clean transcript in a timely fashion!
